WWE Live Malaysia 2014 is one of the most anticipated events for all walks of life as the superstars of wrestling make their way here this coming September 2014.

The last time this major event was held in Malaysia, The WWE Smackdown Live in Malaysia 2002 on 4th March was sold out and a show to remember for many who attended the show back then.

Formerly known as WWF or World Wrestling Federation, they organisers changed it to WWE.

WWE, also known as World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. is an American publicly traded, privately controlled Entertainment Company that deals primarily in professional wrestling, with major revenue sources also coming from film, music, product licensing and direct product sales.

Like other professional wrestling promotions, WWE’s shows do not feature legitimate sporting contests. Instead, its programs feature storyline-driven combat sport matches with predetermined outcomes and fighting maneuvers that are worked, all promoted as legitimate bouts.

On May 5, 2002, World Wrestling Federation Entertainment announced it was changing both its company name and the name of its wrestling promotion to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Although mainly caused by an unfavorable ruling in its dispute with the World Wide Fund for Nature regarding the "WWF" initialism, the company noted it provided an opportunity to emphasize its focus on entertainment.

In the last WWF Malaysia Show, World Wrestling Federation Superstars participated in the tour, including The Rock, Chris Jericho, Kane, Edge, Big Show, Ric Flair, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, The Hardy Boyz, Lita, The Dudley Boyz, and many more.

Total Sports Asia coordinated the tour on behalf of WWFE. Universal's Scorpion King was a tour sponsor and local companies were partners for the Malaysian leg where over 40,000 fans turned up for the KL Show.
